The gameplay trailer for Dead Island 2 seems to be quite promising
The game was previously planned to be released on April 28. However, it has now been pulled one week to April 21, 2023. In December, Dambuster Studios released the Dead Island 2 gameplay trailer, which gave players the closest glimpse at the game and stoked interest among fans. The zombies are the main focus — the trailer showed off the several kinds of zombies that you will encounter in the game.

Six playable characters, each with a distinct set of skills
Dead Island 2 will feature six playable characters, and five of them have been revealed. They are Amy, Dani, Jacob, Carla, and Ryan. Each one of them has special Innate skills that can benefit the user throughout the game. Here are the Innate skills of all the playable characters in Dead Island 2:
Amy is a sharp-witted paralympian who specializes in the skills of Relief Pitcher and Divide-and-Conquer. When she throws a weapon at a zombie, stamina is restored. And when she strikes isolated zombies, she obtains a little damage boost.
Jacob’s innate skills include Feral and Critical Gains. When you attack quickly back-to-back, the Feral ability increases damage while Critical Gains increase critical damage when your stamina is low.
Dani’s abilities include Bloodlust, which restores health while killing several zombies in a fast sequence, and Thunderstruck, which cause a powerful explosion when on impact.
Ryan’s Innate skill Seesaw restores health every time he defeats a zombie. While his Retaliation ability provides a little force increase if using block or dodge to counter an attack.
Carla is the newly revealed playable character in Dead Island 2. When around several zombies, Carla’s innate skill Mosh Pit gives the player a slight damage boost. Her second skill Dig Deep grants the player a little toughness boost.
